This glossary is for French speakers, who are interested in the business world to learn and understand the words related in English. This glossary could help you understand some English words that you don't understand and you will have their translation in French. A business is defined as an organization or enterprising entity engaged in commercial, industrial, or professional activities.
Example: She travels to the Barbados as part of a business trip with her brother Robert who is slightly younger than her.

Capital
noun
Capital is a term for financial assets, such as funds held in deposit accounts and/or funds obtained from special financing sources. Capital can also be associated with capital assets of a company that requires significant amounts of capital to finance or expand.
Example: Those whose property had a capital value of less than 11,000 asses fell into the lowest class, and formed a single century that were exempt from military service.

Example: These eggs are sold as RSPCA Freedom Foods, encouraging the consumer to buy more welfare friendly produced food.

Market segmentation is the process of dividing a market of potential customers into groups, or segments, based on different characteristics
Example: Then marketing segmentation is used to analyze the tourist characteristics and the framework of Purchase-Consumption System Model (Woodside and King, 2001) is applied to explain consumer behaviour in leisure travel.
